Campground Overview:

Diamond Rock Campground is a hidden gem nestled within the majestic Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Located in Arizona, this campground offers a serene and picturesque retreat for outdoor enthusiasts seeking to immerse themselves in nature’s beauty.

Campsites:

Diamond Rock Campground is the typical National Forest campground with 12 total campsites, picnic tables, and a vault toilet. A interesting feature of this campground is the 3 campsites with Adirondack-style shelters. The unique Adirondack shelters are three-sided log structure popularized in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York which provides shelter for campers. Since their development in the Adirondacks, this type of shelter has seen use in a number of parks throughout the United States. Many of them were built and used by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Directions from Alpine: Drive two miles north on US Highway 191 to Forest Road 249. Turn west and follow this wide, graveled forest road 5 miles to Forest Road 276. Turn south and follow Forest Road 276 for six miles to the East Fork developed camping area.
