Campground Overview:

The scenic shoreline of Lake Havasu State Park is an ideal place to enjoy beautiful beaches, nature trails, boat ramps, and convenient campsites. This spot is truly a watersport haven located near the famous London Bridge of Lake Havasu City. The park offers three boat ramps, 47 campsites, a special events area (not available on holiday weekends), picnic area, and beach area. The Mohave Sunset Trail (1.75 miles) winds its way through the lowland desert and along the shoreline. The Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden showcases the diverse life that exists within the park and this area of the desert. Birds, lizards, and desert cottontails are common sights

Campsites:

Lake Havasu State Park is open year round. All sites now have 50 amp electrical hookups and access to potable water at individual sites. Nightly camping fee is standard $35 a night, $40 for beachfront sites. Your camping fee includes the use of the shower/restroom, water, dump station, and use of park day-use facilities. Campsites include a picnic table and a fire ring. Most sites have shade Ramada’s. Most sites can accommodate both RVs/Motorhomes and tents.

Lake Havasu State ParkNorthwestern Arizona hosts a number of annual events throughout the year, ranging from regattas to off-road racing. Thousands of people visit Lake Havasu every year for events such as the annual London Bridge Days, Festival of Lights, Winterfest and the Relics and Rods Classic Car Show. Lake Havasu is known for all water sports including boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and scuba diving.

The London Bridge brings many visitors to Lake Havasu City each year. The existing London Bridge in Lake Havasu City was opened in London, England in 1831. Robert McCulloch of Lake Havasu City purchased it in 1968 for 1.2 million. The London Bridge is built of granite, has five arches, is 930 feet long, is 49 feet wide, and is made up of 22 million pounds of stone. As the bridge was dismantled each of the 10,276 pieces was marked with a number so placement in the reconstruction could be the same once the bridge arrived in Lake Havasu City.

The grassy spaces, playgrounds, dog parks, walking trails and recreational facilities all add greatly to the quality of life for residents and are a popular attraction for visitors. Whether you’re looking for a white sand beach, picnic area, or bocce court, you’ll find what you’re looking for in one of Lake Havasu City parks. Rotary Community ParkLondon Bridge BeachLake Havasu State Park, and Tinnell Memorial Sports Park are all accessible by boat. SARA Park, the largest park, is 1,100 acres and encompasses many activities and event venues.

Bill Williams National Wildlife Refuge is situated in central-western Arizona along the Lower Colorado River, the Bill Williams River extends a short 40 miles before emptying into the Colorado River at Lake Havasu. A portion of the river and its unique habitat are protected within the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge and offers a glimpse into what this landscape looked like hundreds of years ago

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge was established by Executive Order by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 for the primary purpose of providing migratory bird habitat. The refuge is comprised of 37,515 acres along the lower Colorado river in Arizona and California. The refuge protects 30 river miles and encompasses 300 miles of shoreline from Needles, California, to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. One of the last remaining natural stretches of the lower Colorado River flows through the 20-mile long Topock Gorge.
